The backbone to any lawn care program are the pre-emergents. We are spraying this last pre & post emergent before the summer begins until the end of May.. Pre-emergents should be watered in within 14 days after treatment and before mowing, unless you mulch. Time to Start Watering Those Lawns Lawns need 1 inch of water each week, preferrably divided into two separate occasions. It is much better for your lawn to give it two deep soakings each week, than to water for a short time every day. Additionally it is best to water in the early morning. If you must water after work, grass needs time to dry before nightfall. PrePay and Save 7% If you would like to prepay for the year, 6 treatments, and save 7%, please call the office. NEW! Auto-monthly payments! No more remembering to pay the bill or having to put a check in the mail. At Irish Green, we understand that your time is valuable and we are continuously striving to harness technology to make taking care of your lawn hassle-free. April is for Aerations Yes, April is a great month for a Spring aeration. An aeration removes small plugs of dirt, allowing air, water, nutrients, sunlight to go straight to root system. Bugs, Bugs, Bugs EVERYWHERE I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I predict bugs will be horrible this year. We have had reports of fleas earlier than ever before. I have already sprayed twice around the perimeter of my house to keep the ants outside. So yes, now is the time for a perimeter insecticide spray and/or a flea and tick application to keep our pets safe and happy. (Preventative Grub applications are best applied in June or July.)
