Oct 21, 2011 - Celebrating our 10th Year in Business!! To all current Irish Green customers -- THANK YOU for your business. We appreciate you!.
NOW is the best time to start a lawn care program! Many think of lawn care in the early spring when weeds begin to pop up, but Fall/Early Winter is the ideal time to start a lawn care program so that you recieve all three of the pre-emergents before weeds have an opportunity to germinate and spread.
Pre-Emergents We will start spraying the first of a series of 3 pre-emergents in October. All three pre-emergents are crucial to ensuring a weed-free lawn next spring. Pre-emergents should be watered in within 14 days and before you mow (unless you mulch). Pre-emergents will not harm your pets.
Even though the temperaturs have dropped as it is now fall, and soon going into early winter, we still need to water our lawns. To maintain a healthy lawn, the goal is one inch of water per week. It is best to water 2-3 times per week to promote a deep root system.
Overseeding If you have bare spots in your yard due to an area receiving too much shade, possibly from large trees or other structures, overseeding would be a good option for these areas. We overseed in the fall to give the new grass plenty of time to get established before the hot summer months. If you are intersted in receiving an estimate, please call the office or send us an email.
