Grubs NOW is the time for a grub preventative treatment. First, let me say, everyone has some grubs. But when you have too many grubs they will eat too much of the roots of your grass and leave you with huge bare spots (1/4 to 1/2 of your lawn) of nothing but dirt. Do you have a skunk or mole problem? They are digging for grubs. The Solution is a one-time (annual) application of a preventative grub treatment.
Fleas & Ticks It you have pets, it is likely you have seen fleas and ticks already this summer. Solution: have a flea and tick application applied to your lawn. Cost is the same price as your lawn application, but it must be applied twice, 10-14 days apart. In the past years, most of our customers only need this series of two applications in the Spring/Early Summer. But this year, fleas and ticks arrived earlier than usual. if there are several dogs in your neighborhood, a creek, or pond, etc. -- you will likely need to apply this application again during late summer. Pets are a priority at Irish Green. You can call us anytime this application is needed. Now that the temperatures are in the 90's+, we recommend setting your irrigation system to 30-45 minutes per zone, every other day. If you do not have a sprinkler system, an old fashioned sprinkler will work just fine. If it rains you can normally count it as one of your watering days.
Pick a day and mow the same day every week. Mowing every week will go a long way in keeping weeds smothered out and your grass healthly. Most importantly, all of our applications need to be watered in, before you mow.
