Lawns need 1 inch of water per week. In general, we recommend setting your irrigation systems to 25-30 minutes per zone, 2-3 times per week. During the intense heat of July/August you may need to increase these times. But, it is always better to give your lawn a long soaking a couple of times a week, rather than watering your lawn everyday for 10 minutes.
Grub damage often appears in late summer/early fall as brown areas in the lawn. If extensive damage has occurred, lawns may fell squishy and may be rolled up like carpeting. The best treatment is a preventative treatment, applied in June.
We have a flea and tick program for the lawn that works well. We apply the application twice, 10-14 days apart. We normally treat our own yard in late spring as soon as temperatures begin to rise. Often, lawns need to be treated again in late summer. (We just treated our yard again middle of July.)
Sprinkler Repair In this intense heat, sprinkler systems are working double time. We can service or repair your existing sprinkler system. (Yes, we also install irrigation systems.)
